The series is working. Where does this land with your characters? Are they closer to what they want or further away?

Thanks very much!

Definitely further at the moment.

It would be wonderful to live in a world where we could concentrate on great things instead of being mired in institutionalized problems. This should be at the top of everyone's bingo card.

It certainly would. The funny thing is, I had not even intended to go there with this story but, as with all writing, there are some very autobiographical pieces and it wrote itself. I considered re-writing it out but decided to leave it. It's real, it absolutely happens (it did to me… and more), and it needed to breathe.

Thanks so much for reading and for commenting. It means a lot to me.

Damnit this makes we wish I could write fiction! So well done!

I just love this series you're writing. When I read your stories, it feels like we're together over a beer, talking and laughing about old times.

Mandy Franklin's avatar

We have always done that really well together. 🌸

I am sure there is plenty in this story that rings a bell with you.

Thank you for sharing this on here 😊

I do enjoy the descriptive and internal narrative Dani is having throughout her day

This is a series you’re making, right? It might be late because this is my first read and I was just a bit confused as to the time period set for the story 😅

Good stuff though!

Hi, Monty!

Thanks so much for reading and, yes, this is part three. There is a link at the beginning that will take you to Part I.

I am so glad you enjoyed it! ♥️

I like how you didn’t shy away from the nuance surrounding workplace harassment and how we try to navigate it. I could feel the futility. This is your strongest chapter so far, I think. It feels grounded and real… like they are actual people you could know.

I'm so glad that it landed with you. Those experiences are almost identical to ones I have had in my career.

It’s so terrible that these experiences still exist without recourse. I hate that I’m grateful for my aging invisibility. I’m definitely interested in where you take this story. You have an excellent way of writing people in their human moments.

Same and same. I hope it is getting better for women who are still young and trying to make it in a male-dominated field. It makes me sad how normalized it was for me and the few women I worked with.

Thank you for that! It means so much coming from you!
